Colour in the communal area was to reflect the era of the 1930's build. Inspiration was taken from art deco jewellery. The colour from the warm Sanderson Stone paint helped create a seamless flow from one room to another, whilst the green acted as a highlight, which helped move the eye to designated areas.
In the sitting room, highlights and shadows were created by using a themed colour palette on different walls and above the dado rail. This helped create texture and contrast and a sense of height to the room.
For the bedroom we mixed paint to achieve the required apple green colour, we then selected a definite pink to help create an elegant, crisp and fun room for this teenage girl. Shelves were painted to match the pink and resin wardrobe handles were made to spec for an additional splash of colour and sense of individuality.
"We used Gloss Service to decorate throughout our house in 2010 after extensive building work. The team of female staff were enthusiastic, efficient, and courteous-we were completely happy to leave our house in their care while at work or out. They always left it clean and tidy each day. As well as technical expertise, Elly and her team had the flair and ideas to be able to discuss creative decisions of colour and decoration and help with the solutions. We were very pleased with the final result and would recommend Gloss Service to any prospective clients looking for an excellent decorating service."Read more
